Astoria Park Alliance is excited to welcome back one of Astoria’s favorite events — our 4th Classic Car Show! Each year, this free community celebration draws hundreds of neighbors and families to the waterfront for an unforgettable day.
Picture Shore Boulevard lined with 100+ dazzling vintage rides, live performances from local favorite Spitfire, and tasty eats from neighborhood vendors — all with the East River and RFK Triborough Bridge as your backdrop.
Free to the community, park-goers are encouraged to come and check out dozens of classic cars from around the region. A great event for all ages and an opportunity to meet the car owners and learn about their prized vehicles.
This year, we’re thrilled to also welcome the Queens Public Library Mobile Library! Visitors can check out books, sign up for a library card, enjoy DIY arts & crafts, and take home fun giveaways.
Classic car owners will have their vehicles professionally judged in a variety of categories, with trophy presentations on stage to conclude the event. Cars will be awarded for finishing in the Top 25, and the coveted overall Best in Show, plus a trophy for the Most Represented Car Club. But park-goers are also encouraged to vote, as there will be both a People’s Choice trophy and Kid’s Choice trophy awarded to the public’s favorite cars.
All attendees can also enter raffles throughout the day — including a 50/50 Raffle, plus a chance to win One Month or One Week of Free Parking thanks to Astoria Central Parking.
For car owners, same-day car registration is from 9:30–10:45am at the corner of Shore Blvd & Ditmars Blvd. Judging begins promptly at 11am when the show opens, with trophy presentation and closing ceremonies starting at 2:30pm, before we wrap up at 3pm. (All registered cars must remain until the end of ceremonies at 3pm) Entry fee per vehicle is a $25 donation to Astoria Park Alliance which will be collected at registration.
The car show is made possible with sponsorship support from the Simicich Limberis Law Group and Blue Brick Real Estate.
Event partners include: King Souvlaki, Toledo Café, Cured & Co, Projekt NYC, Dough Doughnuts, La Guli Pastry Shop, Astoria Central Parking, and Queens Public Library.
