Join us for our first volunteer date of 2025!

We plan to tackle litter pickup, garden cleanout, and some planting. Start our volunteer season with a big crowd, and join us behind the Astoria Park Track Field House (adjacent to the tennis courts) for a great morning in the park.

As always: Individuals or groups are welcome to join us, but if coming with a large group (more than 15 people) please let us know so that we can accommodate.

Also…. While Earth Day isn’t until Tuesday, April 22, you can join APA to get a jump on things a bit early with our next volunteer day in the park! We will be cleaning and beautifying the park and focusing on the shoreline. Please join us for the first scheduled shoreline cleanup of 2025: let’s get as much off of the banks of the East River as we can!

Please wear long pants and closed toed shoes (required) for the shoreline activity. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to use the ladder for climbing down to the shore.
