On Saturday, April 16, nearly 100 New York Cares volunteers teamed up with friends from the community to give Astoria Park some start-of-the-season sprucing up.

The weather was a perfect backdrop for the early day activities, and Astoria Park was already buzzing with energy and excitement by 10am.  We rakes, mulched and painted benches.  We also had our first Shoreline cleanup of the season.
